How would you like to race across the Irish Sea? Or take part in one of the biggest yacht regattas in the world – Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta (2015 over 400 yachts). Racing such as this is different every time, but it always offers camaraderie and an intense experience. Offshore racing isn’t generally for beginners so we will look to see what experience you have and perhaps we can get you along to a race training weekend to get you up to speed. Come sailing with us, our qualified, experienced, and friendly skippers will do all they can to maximise your enjoyment of your time on the water. Whatever your aspirations, we will do our utmost to bring them to life. Whether you have never sailed before and are looking for a new experience, or you are a committed racer, keen to see if you can make the front of the fleet, we will have something for you. Or perhaps you’re looking to become a cruiser, maybe learn how to go hopping around the coast, exploring bays and rivers? We believe you will get more from your time afloat if you understand more of what is going on around you, and that applies no matter how experienced we are, there’s always something to learn from the day! You will find our base in Conwy extremely easy to get to. If you decide not to stay on the boat, there are plenty of welcoming B&Bs and quality hotels nearby, and the town is a delight, often with special events at weekends.
Conwy provides an excellent base to work from. Anglesey and the Menai Strait offer varied and at times navigationally interesting sailing. There are secluded anchorages, peaceful moorings and historic marinas to choose from; all are ideal for some short term cruising. If you have a little more time, the options open up for you. We could include trips to the Llyn Peninsula, the Isle of Man, the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland or even Scotland.
